July 1st marks the start of NHL Free Agency, but the biggest stories around players have probably already happened. Only one story matters tomorrow in terms of the hockey sports media landscape. Where the hell is Frank Seravalli signing, and is Daily Faceoff cooked because of it?

We already know that Seravalli is departing the network, but we don’t know where he’s heading yet. When that news drops, we’ll have a chat and talk about it.

However, that’s not the story today. The Chinese Farmer remains undefeated, and the breadcrumbs are there if you’re paying attention.

Don’t get me wrong, the tools they have for fantasy hockey are cool. The constant updates on the line combinations are also cool. They have a few media personalities who work. The Flames Nation guys might actually be the most talented people they have. Beyond that…

What are we really talking about here?

Jeff Marek is totally tanking his stock. I like Jeff, but the Jason Robertson story was nonsense, and what he did today should be viewed as unforgivable. Marek really had the audacity to interview lying scumbag Cam Robinson? Cam just got a PR rehab session for free, and Market looked soft for giving it to him. I can’t stomach to even watch it, but you already know how this charmin soft interview went. Regardless, embarrassing for all parties involved.

Johnny Lazarus tries to be Charles Barkley without the resume to back it up. No offense to Jason Gregor and Tyler Yaremchuk, but nobody is watching that DFO programming without Frank.

So let’s cut to the chase. If you work at Daily Faceoff, you’re sitting on a sinking ship. It’s only a matter of time. My line is open to anyone who wants to chat.
