The Rams Should Cut Eric Weddle

Eric Weddle signed a two year deal worth $10.5 million this offseason with the Rams. That was after the Ravens cut him this past offseason. Now the Rams are set to play the Ravens on Sunday. You would think that Weddle would want revenge on the team that cut him loose. You would think that Weddle would be willing to share secrets for how Wink Martindale dials up his defense. You would be wildly mistaken. Weddle won’t be sharing any of the Ravens’ secrets.

“I could tell them a lot of stuff, but that’s just not who I am,” said Weddle, who signed a two-year, $10.5 million contract with the Rams after the Ravens released him in March. “So we’re going to play it on the field, and the best team is going to win.”

“I have a lot of respect for that place, not only how it helped my career and rejuvenated my career, how they treated myself and my family,” Weddle said. “But it’s a very tight-knit group, and what would I be — what kind of man would I be if I just turned my back on all of them?”

The Rams only have one option here. They have to cut Weddle. What an asshole. I have to give a shoutout to Chad Bauman. He said it perfectly. If the Rams lose, his teammates should be allowed to pull a Myles Garrett on Weddle. You can’t have guys like that in your locker room. The Rams have cut Weddle. If he wants to play for Baltimore so bad, let him go back. Oh… yeah, the Ravens cut him.

What an asshole. Marcus Peters also plays his former team. The Rams traded him to Baltimore. Do you think Marcus Peters is the type of guy to not share secrets from his old team? Exactly, he’s going to be yapping all those secrets.
