The Las Vegas Raiders hold the 6th overall selection during the 2025 NFL Draft and if they want to get their hands on someone like Cam Ward… they’re going to have to move up to do it. The rumor mill is churning and it would appear Vegas is interested in doing just that.
Reports have surfaced that the Raiders are looking to move up and if they can, it will be for Cam Ward.
VIA Tony Pauline of Sportskeeda:
“The overall belief from people in the league is that the Las Vegas Raiders will be one of the teams actively attempting to trade up with the hopes of selecting quarterback Cam Ward,”
Pauline also adds in that there is a shot that Shedeur Sanders will be there at pick 6. If that is the case, the Raiders will turn the card in for the Colorado quarterback.
This all sounds good in theory minus the fact that the trade will cost them an arm and a leg to move up. Not to mention the fact that the Titans, Browns, and Giants are all quarterback needy. Who’s to say the Titans don’t just pick Ward at the top and call it a day?
The only thing that’s clear is that the Raiders can’t do another season of this rotating door of Gardner Minshew and Aidan O’Connell. If Vegas can’t land Ward or Sanders, that’s when things become interesting in terms of the next panic move to come.
