Proper No. Twelve Cuts Conor McGregor As Face Of The Brand

Conor McGregor has been arrested several times. The latest incident has ruffled enough feathers to the point of making one of his most loyal sponsors turn their backs. The Whiskey brand Proper No. 12 is dropping the washed-up UFC fighter as the face of their company.

Proper No. Twelve released a statement regarding their decision to drop the Irish fighter.

“Since 2021, Proximo Spirits has been the 100% owner of Proper No. Twelve Irish Whiskey,” read a statement obtained by the Irish Independent’s Josh Burns. “Going forward, we do not plan to use Mr. McGregor’s name and likeness in the marketing of the brand.”

Five Potential Opponents For A Future Conor McGregor UFC Return

Proper No. Twelve isn’t the only brand cutting ties with Conor McGregor. Even a video game is doing the same. The video game developer that produces Hitman: World of Assassination is doing the exact same.

“In light of the recent court ruling regarding Conor McGregor, IO Interactive has made the decision to cease its collaboration with the athlete, effective immediately. We take this matter very seriously and cannot ignore its implications. Consequently, we will begin removing all content featuring Mr. McGregor from our storefronts starting today.”

The way things are trending, it feels way more likely that McGregor ends up in jail over fighting in the UFC again. McGregor hasn’t fought since 2021 and father time is for sure not on his side. The odds that McGregor will fight in the UFC again feel very, very low.
