Not going to lie, I miss playing God of War. There is just something about Kratos and the puzzles that I truly love. We’re going to keep the content train rolling in pursuit of manifesting positive news about the next game in the series.
Mandatory plug but as I said in the post I did yesterday, If you want to watch my walkthrough, you can follow along here with the article link, or here with the YouTube playlist!
Oh, and Marzzman is the GOAT at doing gaming reviews. It’s why he’s on our team. You can find that video as well here.
Enough of the chit-chat. Let’s get to the rankings.
Before I start, I’m only ranking the primary weapons. We’re not out here ranking shields. No need for that cheese. We’re sticking with the heavy hitters only.
3: Leviathan Axe
I’m sure some people swear by the Axe. Once you get that thing going, you feel indestructible. I get it. The extra abilities attached to the spears do heavy damage. This is my list so let me talk now.
I just am never going to be an Axe guy. It just has too limited range for me. I don’t care how overpowered the Axe is. You can’t top whipping those chains around while covering 50-feet and hitting six different enimes at the same time. It’s like having a machine gun instead of a pistol. The Axe has its moments but it’s by far the worst weapon. Argue with your neighbors cat.
2: Draupnir Spear
I can get on board with people who think the Spear is first. I wouldn’t go that far but there is an argument here. When you can start throwing that thing around like it’s 300 and reigning magical spears out of the air, it’s terrifying. Between being able to throw it and the abilities behind it, the spear is deadly. It was a super nice addition in Ragnarok and very much enjoyed the gameplay behind it.
1: Blades of Chaos
You can’t beat it. I’m a blades guy through and through. As long as you block and don’t play like a noob, there is no reason why you can’t defeat any and every opponent with the blades. if it ain’t broke don’t fix it. They cover so much ground and the heavy attacks create like a bomb presence where it incinerates everything in its wake. For me, it’s the triangle button. When you can wind that puppy up before battle and then start laying out those heavy attacks, you can’t lose.
