Topgolf will be making its debut in PGA Tour 2K23 this October, and with it comes a great deal of features. Players will be able to challenge their friends to competitions, test or improve their skills, and maybe lean away from finesse to earn high scores and secure bragging rights. The in-game version will be a true-to-life recreation of the Topgolf Las Vegas location. Players will hit ten balls into highlighted targets of varying sizes and distances, which will earn them points and MyPLAYER XP. Club selection and control are key to maximizing a player’s score as every ball counts.
Players have the option to take on this challenge alone, compete in groups of up to four in couch play, and play online multiplayer in both private matches and online matchmaking. There will be an online leaderboard to show standings against other competitors around the world!
The partnership between 2K Games and Topgolf is a franchise first and will deepen the level of real-life golf culture in PGA Tour 2K23. Topgolf will appeal to players of all skill levels, from casual players to veterans who live on the greens, it invites players of all skill levels.
Topgolf Global Chief Marketing Officer Geoff Cottrill had this to say via a press release:
“Play is at the center of our venue experience. 2K is an incredible brand, creating world class games, and there is no better partner to extend our experience into the console gaming world, as we provide yet another way to play modern golf.”
You can preorder PGA Tour 2K23 now, and if you do so, basketball legend Michael Jordan will be immediately playable at launch! If you’d rather wait, you can get the Deluxe Editon and Tiger Woods Edition on Oct. 11, while the Standard Edition will be available on Oct. 14.
