“Running backs don’t matter” That’s what PFF wants you to believe. Pro Football Focus continues to become more and more of a joke the more time that passes. PFF continues to one up themselves with some of the dumbest takes and people on the planet. This next one will blow your mind. PFF claims that Austin Ekeler is better than Derrick Henry and deserves more money this offseason. Couldn’t make it up if I tried.
This makes sense though coming from PFF. All of them never played a sport in their lives. Derrick Henry makes you make business decisions. Nobody wants to tackle that guy. Derrick Henry ran a 4.5 and weighs 250. It’s like tackling a defensive end that can run. Henry led the NFL in rushing a single-handily carried the Titans to two playoff wins. But hey, that guy is worse than Austin Ekeler.
Derrick Henry: 5.1 Yards per carry – 11.4 yards per catch
Austin Ekeler: 4.2 Yards per carry – 10.8 Yards per catch
Derrick Henry averaged more yards per attempt in the ground game and in the passing game. Austin Ekeler got his shot as a full time running back when Melvin Gordon was out. He was just ok. Much better slot receiver but is Ekeler even better than Tarik Cohen? I can recreate Ekeler with another back like Ekeler, Cohen, or even Boston Scott. There is nothing else in the league like Derrick Henry. Don’t worry, running backs don’t matter so they wasted their time writing this anyway.
Cancel PFF. They are the dumbest people on the planet. Before I close this out, there’s one more clip I have to show you. Apparently, defense doesn’t matter now either. Try watching this without laughing. Can’t do it.
