Penn State QB Beau Pribula Transfers To Missouri

Brady Cook is out the door. Long gone for whatever path he has lying ahead of him. With question marks surrounding who would be filling in for Cook in 2025, we now have an answer. 247Sports.com is reporting that Penn State quarterback Beau Pribula will be transferring to Missouri. One of the most coveted quarterbacks left in the transfer portal now has a new home and is a tremendous get for Eliah Drinkwitz as Pribula has a really good shot to win this job in the spring.

Pribula, a former three-star recruit out of York, Pennsylvania, leaves his home state for the SEC and hopefully greener pastures. That’s not to say, however, he has not flashed major upside when filling in for Drew Allar. Pribula came in for an injured Allar this season against Wisconsin, finishing 11 for 13 for 98 yards and a touchdown, with 28 yards on the ground. That last part is what makes Prubula so intriguing as a prospect is his rushing ability. Over the last two seasons, he has ran for 10 touchdowns on the ground.

Penn State head coach James Franklin had this to say about Pribula back in October. Full quote via 247Sports.com:

“I remember coming back and just being so impressed (with him as a recruit),” Nittany Lions coach James Franklin said of Pribula in October. “The game looked so easy to him. He was so poised. And then he showed up on our campus and he’s smart and he’s mature and he’s extremely competitive and attacks it in every area — the weight room, the classroom, on the field. His teammates love him. He’s just done everything kind of the right way. And I think probably the thing that everybody talks about is his ability to make plays with his legs. But I don’t think there’s anybody within our program that doesn’t believe that that he can do it with his arm, too.”

Beau Pribula will bring a little juice to this Missouri offense that Brady Cook could not bring. The arm is fine, right about where you’d like it to be but it doesn’t blow your socks off kind of talent. But the rushing upside Pribula brings will certainly make defensive coordinators think twice this year. I’ll certainly be keeping an eye on Pribula and the Tigers in 2025, and you should, too.
