Vince Wilfork will officially join the growing free agency group. Big Vince was owed a 4 million dollar roster bonus due on March 10th. As expected, New England was unwilling to do so. The Patriots create $8.06 million in salary-cap space with the release. Wilfork is one of the rare NFL players who is his own agent. That being said Wilfork will not be able to sign a free agent deal until 3 days after the start of the league calendar year. Wilfork took to twitter to thank the great fans of New England.
Wilfork has spent his entire 11 year career with New England. Wilfork has won two Super Bowls during his time there.
