Cage Warriors star Paddy Plmblett put on a showcase at Cage Warriors 122. Is he on his way to the UFC? The answer? Absolutely he should be.
“The Baddy” Paddy Pimblett notched a first-round submission on Saturday during the UFC Fight Pass streamed event, submitting Davide Martinez with a rear-naked choke to pick up back-to-back wins after suffering a loss to Soren Bak.
Watch here:
Paddy Pimblett has found major success throughout his career up to this point. having notched himself a 16-3 record including a stint as Featherweight champion (145) in Cage Warriors before losing and moving up to Lightweight (155). He seems to have found his groove in this new weight class, as you could see in the video above. What a dream it would be to have in in the UFC and matched up with the murders row of talent.
Think about that? The UFC has arguably the best weight class roster in all of mixed martial arts in their Lightweight division (Poirier, Gaethje, Olivera, Chandler, and we can’t forget Conor!) Imagine adding a guy with the talent of The Baddy to the mix of those guys. The promos Conor and Paddy would have. A scrap between Gaethje and Pimblett throwing bombs at one another. A bonafide Pay-Per-View draw is Paddy Pimblett.
It is no secret that Paddy Pimblett has all the talent in the world. And being an Englishman, he knows his way around the microphone as well. He has superstar written all over him, he just needs the platform to showcase his potential. At 26, he is just scratching the surface of what he can do inside a cage. Dana White, get on the phone now and call this young man. Get him to the big show and watch him thrive.
