I’m all in on LaNorris Sellers, but what about the freakazoid over at wide receiver? It feels like now or never for Nyck Harbor, although… There is one big reason why everyone should remain hopeful about this one.
Harbor, 19, checks in at 6-foot-5, 235, and again, is a total freak. During the 2023 recruiting cycle, Harbor was listed as a five star prospect and the number one overall athlete in the country. The tools aren’t just there. We’re talking tools with insane track speed.
The thing about it is Harbor hasn’t looked like a refined football player yet. He did next to nothing as a freshman. Then this past year, he notched 26 receptions for 376 yards and three touchdowns. It’s fine, but it’s far from elite, blowing the doors off the hinges type stuff.
Will that light bulb moment happen for Harbor? I think that’s what we’re all waiting for. He’s listed as my WR3 heading into the 2026 NFL Draft. The production may not reflect that just yet, but we could be on the verge of seeing it come to fruition.
Here’s an important thing to note heading into this season. Maybe it means nothing. Maybe it means everything.
Harbor quit track. He’s not dedicating an ample amount of time to training for track anymore. It’s all eyes on football now. The Chinese farmer always says maybe. Maybe it proves to be a hindrance.
OR…
Maybe shifting all his focus to becoming the best football player possible starts to take place this year. Harbor enters this year as the clear cut number one target for South Carolina, and it’s time to start acting like it.
Time will tell how this transpires, but we should all be ready for the explosion to take place.
