It’s Not Time for Christmas Commercials Yet

Ah, what a wonderful time of year with the election commercials finally behind us, sike now we have to deal with the terrible Christmas commercials.

It is November 7th we just finished Halloween and Thanksgiving is not even in the plans yet. So why the hell are there already so many Christmas ads filling up the time in between timeouts for both the NHL and NBA? This is outrageous. I do not want to see any of those on college football Saturdays either.

Let me watch my games in slight peace and joy!

Do not get me wrong, I really enjoy Christmas but that is a December holiday and we are still 24 days away from December and 48 days away from Christmas. From a business point, I kind of get it, it’s time to get people excited to spend as much money as possible.

However, can we not have a few weeks of peaceful commercial breaks that are not filled by Donald Trump or Kamala Harris spitting nonsense or these cringy-as-hell Christmas commercials?

I am in Nashville, TN and it was 70º F today. Last time I checked, it was nowhere near the cold snowy Christmases that are always advertised. I know other states may be having it differently, shoutout to Colorado, New Mexico, and the other Rocky Mountain states according to snow-forcast.com, but still, it’s nowhere near that time of year.

Right about now, I would much rather be seeing crap commercials about insurance, car companies, or god forbid the Burger King whopper. There will be a time and a place for the Christmas spirit and those kinds of ads but let’s at least wait until the week of Thanksgiving for those Black Friday shoppers. For reference, Black Friday is still three weeks away.

Now do not even get me started on the way too excessive Christmas music. That is a whole nother story. As much as Christmas commercials annoy me, that music in November is outrageous. “Let it Snow,” “Here Comes Santa Claus,” and Mariah Carey’s “All I Want For Christmas Is You” have no right being played before the 13 days of Christmas approach.

I know some of you may strongly disagree with me, but bah humbug to your far too early Christmas celebrations.
