Tua Tagovailoa is the best quarterback in the 2020 NFL Draft. My favorite quality that he has is his ability to progress through reads. I’ve never seen a quarterback who is so quick to process information and get to his 5th progression while always making the right decision. Nick Saban on a recent episode on Detail explained that trait about Tua Tagovailoa.
This link shows the preview clip to the episode.
“One of the things that makes an outstanding quarterback, all right, is when you can throw the ball accurately like this, you’re putting it in position where the guy can catch the ball and run with it,” Saban said.
One line stands out in that preview to the clip.
“A lot of guys can’t do this.”
Saban is 100 percent right. There are maybe a handful of quarterbacks who can do that so quickly. It’s why Tua was so prolific in college. I’ll say the same thing in the Joe Burrow post. I don’t have ESPN+ but I would love to see Saban break down the tape for Tua.
Saban just hits the nail on the head.
Those guys don’t fail. Don’t make the draft harder than it has to be. Patrick Mahomes was hurt in college. So was Deshaun Watson and Carson Wentz. Stop passing on great players because of injury concerns. Matthew Stafford and Andrew Luck never missed a snap in college. Now they’re hurt all the time. Stop trying to predict injuries, you sound dumb. Nobody can predict injuries so there is no point in talking about them.
