NFL Disinvites Lousiana Tech’s Jaylon Ferguson From Combine For Fighting At McDonald’s

The NFL has invited the official idiot test. Don’t be an idiot and you will be invited to the NFL Scouting Combine. Jeffery Simmons and Preston Williams already failed that test. Jaylon Ferguson now joins the list. The All-time leading sack artist in the history of college football has been disinvited from the 2019 NFL Scouting Combine. You won’t believe the reason.

NFL Network correspondents, Ian Rapoport and Tom Pelissero have reported that Ferguson got his invite rescinded because of a fight he had at a McDonald’s during his Freshman year of college. You can’t make this stuff up:

“The NFL has rescinded Louisiana Tech pass rusher Jaylon Ferguson’s invitation to the scouting combine after a background check turned up an off-field issue that made him ineligible under the league’s policy, sources tell NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport and Tom Pelissero.”

“Ferguson, the NCAA’s all-time sack leader, was convicted of simple battery his freshman year at Tech following a fight at a McDonald’s. As per the rules, that’s enough to take away a combine invitation. The NFL told clubs last month players would be barred from the combine” “if a background check reveals a conviction of a felony or misdemeanor involving violence.”

The NFL may have been doing Ferguson a favor. The guy couldn’t have looked worse during the Senior Bowl. I mean flat out awful. No pass rushing moves outside of a bull rush. A surprising development considering the guy had 45 sacks in college. That includes 17.5 during his Senior year at Louisiana Tech.

I mean you have to be a real asshole to get in a fight in a McDonald’s. How do you even get yourself in that situation? Did someone f*ck up your order of nuggets? Did someone pull some shady business in the ball pit? You would have to be a lunatic to draft this guy. No great NFL player is dumb enough to fight in a McDonald’s.
