Just a few months removed from the release of Hogwarts Legacy, it seems that Warner Bros. is ready to unveil the next Harry Potter game in their catalogue. Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions will allow players to compete with each other in one of the best fictional sports ever conceived.
While we know little about the game right now, Warner Bros. has released some information. The game will feature as a competitive-multiplayer title, allowing players to take part in the sport of Quidditch on teams against each other. The game will require a constant internet connection, however, hence the desire by Warner Bros. to have official playtesting.
We also now know that the game has actually been in development for several years now, but only now has there been enough development of Quidditch to show it off to the world.
Despite all of this, we know absolutely nothing on gameplay mechanics and features, which will be revealed with the upcoming playtesting for the title, but for now, nothing is for certain.
The playtesting for Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions will be available on April 21 and 22. Gamers excited for this can sign up on the game’s official website. With an official release date so far undeclared by either Warner Bros or developers Portkey Games, it will be up to the playtesting to see where the game goes.
Still, the game looks good based on the trailer. It looks even better when you consider the success of Hogwarts Legacy despite its controversies. But looks can be deceiving, though the upcoming playtest should reveal both the good and the bad Quidditch has to offer.
