Nazir Stackhouse 2025 NFL Draft Profile

Nazir Stackhouse is next on the docket for the 2025 NFL Draft profile series. We’re running through everything you need to know on the Georgia defensive lineman so how about you grab a glass of wine and enjoy reading through it!

NFL Draft Stock Report: Week 14, East-West (1), (2), (3), (4)

Stackhouse, 22, was a four star recruit during the 2020 cycle. Checking in at 6-foot-4, 327, Stackhouse was ranked as the 25th overall DT and 33rd player in the state of Georgia. The redshirt senior spent all five years with the Dawgs.

Stackhouse has been a contributor for Georgia since day one but was the permanent starter at nose tackle for the last three years. I have stock notes on Stackhouse dating back years. His accolades include two appearances on the Second-team All-SEC list. He’s been an anchor on the front for several years and was a part of two National Championship teams. Not starting ahead of Jalen Carter and Jordan Davis isn’t exactly a thing to scoff at.

Only three career sacks for Stackhouse, but that’s not who he is. He’s a run plugging nose tackle and he’s really good at it. He’s a two down guy who will get subbed off on pass rushing third down situations. Regardless, a nose pluggin run defender is still an incredibly valuable trait for any defensive line to have. He’s also a good tackler, and once he’s wrapped up a running back, they’re not falling forward for extra yardage.

I also thought he had a really nice Combine and East-West showing. He was the best Georgia defensive lineman at both events, and I don’t care what anybody says. For a big bodied nose, a 5.15 isn’t painfully slow. He has way more burst and body control than anyone wants to give him credit for.

Again, I’m a fan of Nazir Stackhouse. He’s very much a homeless man version of Vince Wilfork, but he’s more functional than a Desmond Watson with his weight more under control. Good late round player who will fill a role.
