I tried to tell you. Dear, Knicks or Nets fanboys. Kyrie Irving isn’t signing with your team. What I didn’t necessarily see coming was that Kyrie Irving himself announced first hand that he will stay with the Celtics for the foreseeable future. I’m not sure who didn’t see this coming but the announcement shouldn’t really come as much of a shock because the Celtics are loaded and run extremely well from Ownership down.
“If you guys will have me back, I plan on re-signing here.” – @KyrieIrving https://t.co/0wDLzuv5WL

“It’s quite important. I shared it with some of my teammates as well as the organization and everyone else in Boston. If you guys will have me back, I plan on re-signing here next year.”
I said it before and I’ll say it again, Kyrie would have to be a lunatic to leave this situation. Brad Stevens is the best coach in the NBA. Danny Ainge is the best gm in the NBA. Add in the young talent that Boston has including Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum. Also, add in the return of Gordon Hayward and All-Star Al Horford. There isn’t a situation that even rivals the one Kyrie has in Boston. He absolutely made the right decision asking for a trade from the Cavs and he hit the jackpot landing in the perfect situation.
Irving, 26, is eligible to sign a max deal after this upcoming season. The deal will cost the Celtics around $190 million over five years. The Celtics are the biggest challengers to the Warriors to date. With their depth, coaching, and talent across their starting five, it’s hard not to at least like the Celtics chances to win the title. It’s going to be a fun season.
Poor Knicks fans. I’m shocked he wasn’t eager to go and team up with Joakim Noah. What a joke!
