I thought about asking Matt Hanifan to do this one, but I decided against it. Trey has Nevada pride, right? Kitan Crawford is next up on the to-do list for the 2025 NFL Draft War Room series, so let’s jump right into it.
NFL Draft Stock Report: Week 0
Crawford, 23, was a former four star recruit coming out of high school. The Tyler, Texas, native was ranked as the 145th overall player, 12th ranked corner, and 22nd ranked player in the state too. Crawford spent four years with the Longhorns before finishing up with the Pack.
While I didn’t watch as many Nevada games as Hanny, Crawford definitely stood out in the Week 0 notes before I even know who he was. The fact that I spotted him without being overly familiar with the roster is a good sign. The former left tackle is also nasty, but he now plays for Oregon. It’s pretty barren after that.
Crawford made the most of his one year being a starter. It included an Honorable Mention All-Mountain West Conference selection. The stat line includes 76 tackles, 3 TFLs, 2 INTs with 1 pick six, 7 PBUs, and a forced fumble.
Let’s say this. The Combine performance should make everyone a little more interested in this player. He had a hell of a day there. He’s clearly a high level athlete posting 4.41 speed, over 41 inches in the vertical, and 19 on the bench. The traits are there to work with.
I’m a fan of this player. Not enough to proclaim him a red or blue chip player but that third tier of safeties in the 4th-5th round, he would be a target of mine.
