Rico Bosco is back. After accepting a job with Audacy, Bosco has changed his mind and will be returning to Barstool. Dave Portnoy and Big Cat welcomed him back during the newest episode of the Pick Em Pod. Not everyone is thrilled about Rico Bosco returning and one of those loudest voices happen to be Kirk Minihane.
On Kirk’s morning show today, he went on a big rant to open up the show. Kirk says Barstool is nuts for bringing him back. Here is the full link to Kirk’s show for those that want to listen. Just start right at the beginning. Rico leads the show.
Kirk and Rico have some history that also needs to be mentioned. Kirk basically says that he’s done with Rico. He will not be brought back onto Kirk’s trivia team. Kirk also makes sure to mention that he still loves Jared Carrabis. Rico Bosco is OUT.
Kirk seems the most bothered by Rico attacking Cons’ family via burner accounts. Kirk makes it very clear that if Rico ever were to pull those antics with him, it’s all-out war. Even goes as far as to say that he’s worked on his anger but if Rico wants to start a war, Kirk says he will literally cut his head off his body.
Kirk also talks about how he’s bothered with the fact that Rico said he would no longer call into the show once he started working for Audacy. Keep in mind, Rico pushed for $100,000 a year once upon a time just to be a caller into Kirk’s show. With Kirk’s past history with WEEI, that’s just not going to be something that Kirk lets go of. Kirk also makes sure to use Rico’s real first name in the show so you know he’s not playing games.
