Kevin Durant ‘Not Impressed’ With Billboard Recruiting Him To The Knicks

Is any fanbase more laughable right now than Knicks fans? They are like that desperate guy who shoots DM’s and constantly gets rejected. It’s sad and pathetic. First, it was begging and pleading for Kyrie Irving. They were such stalkers that Kyrie had to come out and say he was re-signing with the Celtics right before the start of the season. Now the Knicks are in full raging stalker mode for Kevin Durant.

There is a full-blown billboard of Kevin Durant in New York rocking a Knicks jersey. Durant for what it’s worth does not care. Durant – via Ian Begley of ESPN:

“To be honest, I don’t know how I feel about that type of stuff. It’s cool. No disrespect, but I’m not really impressed with that type of stuff. I just really like playing basketball. … I know all of that stuff is a part of it, but for me I don’t really get up for that stuff.”

How does anyone take the Knicks seriously? Why does ESPN even have a Knicks reporter on the payroll? Why waste time on such a sad and lonely franchise? Kyrie Irving wouldn’t even wait until the Summer to confirm he was staying with the Celtics. LaMarcus Aldridge wouldn’t even give them a meeting. Don’t forget, Durant wouldn’t give them a meeting prior to signing with the Warriors either.

Can we just make a pact within the sports community? Let’s stop trying to give the Knicks superstars. Until Kristaps Porzingis returns to the floor, there is no reason to even mention the Knicks as anything more than a G-League team. This team is trash and it starts with one of the worst owners in the history of sports, James Dolan. Kevin Durant may leave Golden State, but I’m sure as hell am not putting my money on the Knicks to land him.
