Ken Holland: It’s Time To Take The Keys Away In Edmonton

Can someone explain to me why Ken Holland is still employed? I truly don’t understand it. Holland is clearly drunk, uneducated, or totally asleep at the wheel. That’s really the only way to describe the job he’s doing as GM of the Oilers.

The Oilers just can’t find a way to get over the hump despite having the two best players in the entire league. This year the team is in a serious rut. Edmonton currently sits at 5-11-1 and it’s going to be an uphill climb to even make the playoffs. The Oilers have since fired head coach Jay Woodcroft.

Maybe Woodcroft was part of the problem. Maybe he wasn’t. All I know is if Woodcroft is getting fired, then Holland should be kicked in the face while they also fire him.

How many times is this guy going to screw the team before being held accountable? That’s what I want to know.

Yeah, Holland’s brilliant. This is the same guy that gave Jack Campbell that contract. The mistakes don’t stop there. It’s been a series of cap mismanagement errors. It’s totally insane that Edmonton didn’t do anything about the Connor Brown situation.

How hard can it be to craft a winner around McDavid and Draisaitl? The blue line isn’t good enough. The bottom two lines aren’t good enough. They don’t have a single goalie that’s worth anything.

Is the owner even paying attention? When are you going to take the keys away from Ken Holland? It’s a bad look on the organization that Holland remains in power while Woodcroft gets sacked.
