99% of America is sick and tired of Bronny James. It’s not the kid’s fault. It’s an ESPN problem and how that network has handled this whole thing is totally shameful. The Celtics drafted Anton Watson with the 54th pick in the 2024 NBA Draft. Bronny James went with the very next pick and ESPN didn’t spend more than 15 seconds discussing the Watson selection.
Does anybody remember the last time a player got picked during a commercial?
I’m not saying Watson is about to become the next Jokic. All I’m saying is the Karma gods are watching. Bronny James story has been nonsense from day one. Instead, we have real basketball players who are can’t get a minute of air time on the most important day of their life. Like so many others, Watson deserved that moment because ESPN turned their Draft coverage into a circus.
I mean… just look at the way Gonzaga head coach Mark Few described him.
The Celtics were worried about drafting winners. The Lakers are worried about clicks. The Karma gods are watching. Does anybody think this is going to work out for the La La land losers?
Watson certainly has a chance to develop into a real role player for the Celtics. He’s a really strong defender who can switch onto any position. He fits what the Celtics do. He’s also a 41.2 percent 3-point shooter and second all-time in Gonzaga history behind John Stockton for steals. Are we sure the karma gods won’t take care of the rest?
