Josh Jacobs signed with the Green Bay Packers this offseason but they weren’t the only team that heavily pursued him. In fact, Green Bay might not have even been his best offer. It turns out the Chiefs were really interested but Jacobs turned them down because of his hatred for KC during his time with the Raiders.
“They were trying to get me hard,” Jacobs said. “But there was no way I was going there. I feel like once you are rivals with somebody, you have a genuine hate for them. I couldn’t see myself in that color. And besides, I never wanted to be the guy that joined the dominant team. I want to be the guy that beats the dominant team.”
Can I just go on a rant here? I guess I respect the decision but I’m not sure it’s one that makes sense. I just want you to think about this.
Why is Jacobs making life choices based on his dysfunctional past with the Raiders?
It certainly had a big impact on fantasy football. Can you imagine if Isaiah Pacheco fantasy owners got snipped by Jacobs walking through the door? Would MarShawn Lloyd be the starter for the Packers right now or do they keep Aaron Jones then? Interesting to think about.
