Jordan Phillips 2025 NFL Draft Profile

Yes, that’s right. We’re about to have two players with the same name playing the same position. We already have a Jordan Phillips, who looks like a truck and plays for the Buffalo Bills. Now we have Maryland product Jordan Phillips about to enter the league. Let’s not waste anymore time and get right to his 2025 NFL Draft profile.

NFL Draft Stock Report: East-West (1), (2), (3), (4)

Phillips, 20, checks in at 6-foot-2, 312, and was a three star recruit out of the state of Florida. The redshirt sophomore spent one year at Tennessee before finishing up with two years for the Terps. Also, mandatory plug for Phillips was a hero for the East Carolina video game series. It’s worth the watch (check it out here).

Let’s start with this. Zero career sacks is a bit worrisome, and you’re probably not getting an explosive pure pass rusher at the NFL level. However, I think we saw plenty of positives during the pre-draft process. Phillips was one of the best defensive linemen at the East-West game. He looked fantastic there.

I think the problem we found is that Phillips has shaky feet but is damn good in the upper body. The Combine notes help illustrate just that. The Maryland product did not run, but he’s super strong. 29 bench press reps was one of the best marks at the entire event. Right now, it looks like Phillips will be able to help in the run game but will need to hone in on his pass rushing ability to take his game to the next level. He definitely has the size and power element to be a plus nose tackle for the team who drafts him.

I think Phillips is a 4th-5th round guy. Someone who can be a contributor on the defensive line but not necessarily someone who is going to tilt the field.
