The Eagles Super Bowl LIX victory is a Howie Roseman story. It would appear one rival quarterback is jealous his team doesn’t operate the way Philly does. Joe Burrow said it without saying it. He wishes Howie Roseman ran the Bengals.
VIA Pardon My Take:
“The Eagles are paying everybody,” he said on PMT of the Super Bowl champions. “That seems like the way. Whatever they’re doing.”
“You could convert some of the money to a signing bonus, which will lower the cap hit,” Burrow said. “You can push some of the money to the back end of the contract. That lowers the cap hit. … And then when you get to the back end of the contract, you can restructure it and convert it to a signing bonus.”
Burrow is right. If Mike Brown was running the roster I had to quarterback, I’d be pissed too. We know how Cincinnati operates. They never trade. They rarely pay to keep their own players. They operate in the least creative way all the time. It’s why they’ve never won anything despite having talented teams in the past.
It’s also a cry for help. It’s also a wake up call. Cincinnati has $49 million in cap space entering the offseason. How hard can it be to figure all of this out with that amount of cap space? Find a way to keep Tee Higgins, extend Ja’Marr Chase, and improve the team. Howie Roseman would do just that. Mike Brown probably won’t.
Dear, football fans. Please do not listen to the mainstream media. The quarterback does not the determine the outcome of these games. The fat guys up front do. It’s why the Eagles are Super Bowl champions and the Bengals didn’t make the playoffs.
