When Dallas tailback Darren McFadden told Cowboys he injured his elbow at home trying to catch a dropped cell phone it drew some critics. Players, of course, have been known to lie about how they injure themselves away from the facilities. Cowboys owner Jerry Jones, on the other hand, believes McFadden’s story.
Jones told reporters that he might be skeptical “If it were anybody else.”
“He’s such a pro and has gained the respect that I take him just as he said it, that phone had to be saved. I accept that,” Jones said.
The Cowboys of course will be just fine at running back until McFadden is completely 100 percent. Dallas selected Ezekiel Elliott in the first round of the draft and signed Alfred Morris as his back up as well.
