Did anybody watch Notre Dame beat the brakes off USC this past week? If not, feel free to read my draft notes from this past week to catch everything you need to know. The game was pretty unwatchable from start to finish and it wasn’t just because of the score. The broadcasting duo of Jac Collinsworth and Jason Garrett made my eyeballs bleed.
It turns out the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree. Chris Collinsworth sucks. Jac Collinsworth sucks. The only difference is Chris says idiotic things. Jac just doesn’t have an entertaining bone in his body. Guy couldn’t be more boring.
Awful Announcing and Barrett Sports Media did a great job covering this. Soooo if you thought Trey was just being a hater, it’s not the case. I’m just a truth speaker. I can’t help the fact that NBC Sports decided to go with the nepotism route and hire Jac because of who his daddy is. That’s the truth. If you watched that game, it was impossible to not notice how terrible they were.
Maybe young buck Collinsworth would have had a more passable performance if he wasn’t paired with the clapper Jason Garrett. I’m half convinced Garrett is a robot but maybe that’s just me. It’s still really not an excuse for how bad both were during the broadcast. I encourage you to check out both links in the prior paragraph.
The craziest part is the normal Notre Dame broadcast includes Noah Eagle, Todd Blackledge and Kathryn Tappen. They just happened to do the 3:30 game instead for some reason. The even crazier part is Noah Eagle also got his job because of who daddy is. He’s just not nearly as terrible as Collinsworth so nobody is complaining about it.
