Hunter Dickinson Leans Into Jokes With Hilarious LinkedIn Brand Deal

“Time to enter the job market buddy” or “get ready to learn LinkedIn” are common chirps lobbed at college basketball players who opt to remain in school and exercise a fifth year of eligibility. This was often the case with star Kansas big man Hunter Dickinson, who played three seasons at Michigan before transferring to Lawrence for his final two years. His college career now over, Dickinson responded to the haters with a hilarious brand deal. He’s teamed up with networking site LinkedIn.

Dickinson quips, “One minute you’re getting college scholarship offers from coaches and doing brand deals for skincare products. Then it’s crickets. Over 2800 points, 1500 rebounds, seven years of college eligibility. The NIL money’s dried up, so preparing to end my career, I did what any athlete would do: I got on LinkedIn.”

In his final season with the Jayhawks, Dickinson averaged 17.4 points and 10 rebounds per game while shooting 52.6% from the field. Over his five years in college, he was twice a consensus All-American. He was also a five-time all-conference honoree between the Big Ten and Big 12.
