The tides aren’t just turning anymore. They have TURNED. Things are starting to get… well… you know. I’m not going to use THAT word yet but it doesn’t look good for the Irish. Icing Daubert leads by about 52 heading into the weekend of the Finals.
What a night it was. Drake Batherson and Matt Boldy did their job. Just get on the scorer sheet. Both did just that collecting one assist.
Dirty dog Mike Smith continues to stay hot. He put the Avalanche right in his back pocket stopping 34 of 37 shots in an Oilers win that helped them officially lock up a playoff spot. Connor McDavid chipped in with a bunch of assists but the real story of the night was Evander Kane. Four point night including a hatty. We can’t understate the things Kane has done for my fantasy team in back to back years.
It was a glorious way to end the night Vitek Vanecek pitched a shutout against the Coyotes. Only 19 saves but we will take those bonus points for the shutout. Oh, you best believe that. Going with Vejmelka did not work out so well in either matchup. Shame that is trying to cheese the system.
The Irish are in real trouble. They better turn the corner real soon or the lights are going to start going out. There is still a lot of time to go but this lead is a comfy one right now. Keeping the momentum going. The tides have turned. Let’s finish this.
