This running back class is so damn loaded that a number of these guys are going to get left behind. Henry Parrish Jr officially enters the chat as one of those guys. Let’s take a look at the Ole Miss RB’s 2025 NFL Draft Profile!
The sad part is I actually really like this player. I think more people would be talking about him if the injury stuff didn’t happen. Something I alluded to during the season.
No question he was the best back at Ole Miss last year yet his backup was the one that got the Combine invite. This then creates a whole different discussion on the brief period of time he was at Miami and then clearly left because the depth the Canes have at that position is absurd.
The timeline for Parrish basically looks like the Grandpa Simpson meme. I spent two years at Ole Miss and two years at Miami, turning around and finishing at Ole Miss. By the way, he’s always been a super-efficient back. Never had a season under 4.7 yards per carry and was at 6.3 his final year at Miami when it felt like he was really starting to peak on the development curve. Has 71 career receptions too.
5-foot-10, 190, former four-star guy with real talent. Look, it’s not all perfect. Doesn’t have elite track speed. Not overly big and not a pass protector. That’s what Bentley was for. By the way, still makes no sense that his back up was invited to the Combine but not him but whatever. Maybe a few fumbles with an injury history to dig into. Really like him as a change-of-pace guy who has something to him. The sample size alone in college represents that idea alone of him being a complimentary piece rather than someone who is carrying your rushing attack.
No Combine invite for Parrish, which was surprising but I’m guessing injury maybe had something to do with that. I actually like this player and think something is here. Nobody is talking about him and he’s nowhere to be found on lists so I’m guessing he will go undrafted. However, if I’m running a team, this is a target of mine as an undrafted free agent period. If he makes it and becomes a real pro, I wouldn’t be shocked at all.
