Where does Gavin Bartholomew stand among the rest of the tight ends in this class? Also, does it even matter because 99% of tight ends are zeros in terms of fantasy football? Anywho… I’m just going to get to the point now, so here is your 2025 NFL Draft profile on the Pitt tight end!

Bartholomew, 21, checks in at 6-foot-5, 246, and was a three start prospect out of the state of Pennsylvania in high school. The Schuylkill Haven native spent all four years with the Pitt Panthers.

The production here is pretty much the same across the board. He essentially averaged 314 yards per season with 11 career touchdowns. He was pretty much their guy right away as a freshman. The only problem is his yards per catch total went down to a career low 8.5 this past year. Former team captain and was a heart and soul kind of guy for the program.

The other good news is that he’s kind of a real tight end. Probably not quite strong enough, but can be a real Y player. Lacks a catch radius but he can catch and play with some forward lean in his game. A 4.70 time isn’t fast, but it also isn’t egregiously bad. I thought his pure Combine showing was okay, but okay is better than several in the class.

Has the look and feel of a real depth piece. You’re not getting some YAC monster but he’s proven he can be a contributor.

I have an undrafted grade on Gavin Bartholomew, but I also don’t think he totally sucks either. He’s got something to him and is probably worth a preseason camp invite. I wouldn’t be surprised if he sticks in the league at all.
