Four-Star LB Noah Mikhail Commits To Texas A&M

Texas A&M has been having a very good recruiting cycle, and it just got even better. Four-star Linebacker Noah Mikhail announced on Sunday on the 247Sports YouTube channel that he was committing to the university. Mikhail chose A&M over finalists Oregon and USC. First-year head coach Mike Elko is off to a strong start.

Here’s what Mikhail said about Texas A&M, why he made his decision and more. Full quote via 247sports.com:

“The coaching staff was great with me throughout the recruiting process,” Mikhail told 247Sports. “I love that coach Mike Elko is a defensive minded head coach and they have big plans for the program. I really like the place, too, and felt a great connection with coach Jay Bateman.

“It’s a great fan base and from what I have seen it’s really crazy to go into Kyle Field. It’s one of the best college football and I’m excited to be on that stage. It’s going to be huge playing in the SEC, which is the premier football conference. Getting to play there and showcase myself against great competition is going to be great for my development, and I’m excited to be a Texas A&M Aggie.”

Noah Mikhail had recent official visits to USC on June 7th and Oregon on June 14th, but eventually landed on College Station. Mikhail, the 83rd overall prospect, 10th among linebackers, and fifth in the state of California, should fit seamlessly at Texas A&M. The top-100 linebacker is from Bonita High School in La Verne, California. Mikhail has been a two-way player in High School so far, seeing snaps at running back and wide receiver as well as linebacker. Time will tell to see how he develops, but it’s easy to see high upside with Mikhail.
