Florida State QB Luke Kromenhoek Transfers To Mississippi State

When news broke that Florida State quarterback Luke Kromenhoek was entering the transfer portal, he immediately became one of the top prospects available. The true freshman only started one game for the Seminoles and has three years of eligibility left. On3.com is reporting that after taking only one school visit, he will be transferring to Mississippi State. He will be in contention for the starting job as Michael Van Buren is also gone via the portal.

When talking about what went into his decision to play for the Bulldogs next season, here is what Luke Kromenhoek had to say. Full quote via On3.com:

“Everything stood out to me,” Kromenhoek recalled. “Coach Lebby and his staff are unbelievable people. Everything they showed us and talked to me and my family about, it really looked like the whole package of what we want in a school.”

Kromenhoek would take a single visit after hitting the portal, and he ultimately decided that’s all it took. Normally we see players take multiple visits, but not for Kromenhoek. He spoke on his visit to Starkville:

“We sat down and watched film of the offense for two hours,” added Kromenhoek. “We talked about the development process and how he was going to develop me and the things I was going to be doing. It was unbelievable.”

“The numbers speak for themselves,” Kromenhoek noted. “Obviously, the offensive production under Coach Lebby is wild. Definitely great to see all of that and see all of those numbers. To have that film session and go over all of the numbers, it really stood out of us.”

Luke Kromenhoek, a former five-star prospect last year, is a massive get for Mississippi State. The No. 3 quarterback in his class was among the top prospects in the transfer portal and now has a chance to see the field immediately in 2025.
