The Fights to Watch on the UFC 276 Prelims

UFC 276 is poised to be one of the best UFC cards of 2022. The majority of the hype for this card is due to the stacked main card that includes two massive title fights. However, there are some great fights on the prelims too. Here are the best fights on the prelims of UFC 276.

#14 Brad Riddell vs Jalin Turner- Lightweight

Brad Riddell vs Jalin Turner has fight of the night written all over it. Riddell is one of the most exciting fighters in the UFC lightweight division. Riddell is 1-1 in his last two bouts, but his win over Drew Dober at UFC 263 garnered him a fight-of-the-night bonus. The loss came to Rafael Fiziev when he was knocked out by a spinning wheel kick. Not a great outcome for Liddell, but it was a fun fight for the fans.

Turner is an up-and-comer in the lightweight division that is riding a four-fight win streak. Turner has a massive frame for the lightweight division. He utilizes long power strikes in a way that gives him an opportunity to knock out his opponent. This matchup screams violence and is one fans should not miss.

#9 Uriah Hall vs #13 Andre Muniz- Middleweight

Anytime two ranked fighters are fighting on the prelims, you have to watch. This one is no exception. Uriah Hall’s explosive striking has created one of the best highlight reels in the history of the UFC. Not all of his fights are entertaining, but Hall can finish his opponent at the drop of a hat.

Andre Muniz is one of the best grapplers in the UFC. I mean he snapped Jacare Souza’s arm with an inverted armbar. In his 22 wins, Muniz has finished 15 with a submission.

Whether you love striking or grappling, this fight will have a high-level fighter in each category.

Ian Garry vs Gabe Green- Welterweight

Ian “The Future” Garry has shown a lot of potential inside of the UFC octagon and he is one of the top prospects in the UFC welterweight division. He has great counter punching and pin-point accuracy which makes him a real threat in this division. From an entertainment standpoint, he also gets hit too often, which makes things interesting.

Gabe Green is not an elite fighter by any means, but he is far from a slouch. Green is a tough fighter and is a difficult fighter to put away. If you cannot put him away. There is a good chance that he can utilize cardio to gain an advantage in the later rounds.

If Garry can successfully finish Green his stock will go through the roof. That alone makes this a must-watch.

Jim Miller vs Donald Cerrone- Welterweight

At first thought, this fight is just two aging veterans duking it out before retirement. However, Jim Miller and Donald Cerrone are currently tied with Andre Arlovski for the most UFC wins of all time. The winner of the fight will sit alone at the top.

If witnessing history does not intrigue you, I don’t know what will.
