Fallout 5 Confirmed To Be On The Way

The Fallout franchise will have Fallout 5 as the next installment. Fallout is an action role-playing game that has become one of the bigger video game franchises. The games take place in post-apocalyptic settings that have bridged multiple centuries.

The Fallout franchise has definitively made an impact on popular culture with its themes of nuclear weapons, technology, and apocalyptic wastelands. Now, gamers eagerly await the next game in the franchise.

Fallout 4 was released in 2015, so it’s been seven years since a main title Fallout game. Nevertheless, there has been news about a new Fallout title.

Todd Howard, the director and executive producer at Bethesda Studios, shared some information on a new Fallout game. Todd Howard was speaking to IGN when he stated:

“Elder Scrolls 6 is in pre-production and, you know, we’re going to be doing Fallout 5 after that, so our slate’s pretty full going forward for a while.”

Fallout fans can rejoice as it is confirmed that Fallout 5 will be happening but when can people hope to play it is the question. Bethesda Studios has been working on their new game Starfield since 2015. Starfield will be released in 2023. The earlier alluded to Elder Scrolls 6, which was announced in 2018, does not have a definitive release date. This means fans will not have Fallout 5 for many years. Howard addressed the multiple year waits for Bethesda Studios games by saying:

“They do take a while, I wish they came out faster, I really do, we’re trying as hard as we can.”
