Elijhah Badger is next up on the 2025 NFL Draft profile series to-do list, even though his first name spelling is borderline insane. I can’t even look at his first name without it driving me crazy so we’re going to speed through this one if you don’t mind.
Badger, 23, was a four star athlete coming out of high school. The Sacramento, California, native checks in at 6-foot-1, 202, and was the 14th overall player in the state. After spending four years with Arizona State (including a redshirt year) Badger finished up with the Gators.
You’re not going to find Badger in the stock notes. I covered his teammate in there, Chimere Dike (profile), but Badger was really the big play guy for this offense this past year. He notched 806 yards this past year at a 20.7 YPR clip with four touchdowns. He was around that same yard total the previous two seasons with the Sun Devils but with far more receptions in each of those years.
Not to disparage the guy but it sure feels like Badger projects as a speedy gadget guy at the next level. The hands were shaky at the Combine, and the refinement was there at all. Looks pretty good once the ball is in his hands and can do some return stuff. Having 4.43 speed is cool. Beyond that, I have no idea what he brings to the table. Not to mention the fact that he had some pretty serious back issues with ASU and I know about those very well. Probably not going to be a guy who is super durable with that frame of his.
Best case scenario, you’re looking at a depth receiver who maybe can create some splash plays if he’s open. That’s about it.
I have an undrafted grade on Elijhah Badger. If you’re going to take one of these Florida guys, I would go Dike first.
