The Philadelphia Eagles are in desperate need of a wide receiver. Outside of Jordan Matthews, the team doesn’t have any dependable receiving options. Eliot Shorr-Parks of NJ.com has reported that the Eagles will pursue Kenny Stills via free agency.
With Miami also looking to extend Jarvis Landry, it remains to be seen if they will have the money to do both. According to Spotrac.com, the Dolphins will have around $30 million to spend this offseason. Dolphins g.m. Chris Grier sounds like he will try to keep Stills in Miami.
“It’s important for us to bring him back,” general manager Chris Grier told the Miami Herald. “We’d like to have him back. It’s his right to test the market and see what he can get, but we’d like to have him back.”
Philadelphia clearly needs upgrades over Dorial Green-Beckham and Nelson Agholor. If the Eagles don’t land Stills, expect them to still be active in the wide receiver market via free agency. The Eagles hold the 15th pick in the 2017 NFL Draft and theoretically could fill their void in that regard as well.
