Remember that post I just did talking about how the Jaguars flushed their 5th round pick from 2024 down the toilet? Well… he’s already been claimed by the Eagles. After being cut by Jacksonville, Keilan Robinson now lands in Philadelphia.
The Eagles team website was the first to report the news:
“The Eagles were awarded running back Keilan Robinson off waivers from the Jacksonville Jaguars on Friday. To make room for Robinson on the 90-man roster, the Eagles waived rookie wide receiver Ife Adeyi.”
Robinson, 25, checks in at 5-8, 191, and mostly returned kicks during his rookie season. The former Texas product began his college career at Alabama before finishing up with the Longhorns as a lethal return specialist. It remains to be seen in Philly will plug him in on special teams.
It’s far from a lock that Robinson makes the team in Philly. It’s not just Saquon Barkley. The Eagles also have Will Shipley to fill that same sort of role, with AJ Dillon also brought in this offseason.
And yes, it would appear the Eagles are the only team that threw in a claim here. Given that the Eagles just won the Super Bowl with a record of 14-3, it stands to reason that they are actually the only team who put in a claim. It sure does feel like 90% of the league is asleep while Howie Roseman just does whatever the hell he wants, doesn’t it?
