Under Maintenance
We deeply apologize for interrupting your reading but Vendetta is currently undergoing some important maintenance! You may experience some layout shifts, slow loading times and dififculties in navigating.
Sports Media
Slowly and surely Vendetta Sports Media will establish itself as the premier go to site for fantasy sports. You can laugh at that statement all you want but the evidence doesn’t lie. I own fantasy hockey (RIP Sean Allen). Matthew Berry was embarrassed. In 2024 we’re throwing our hat in the fantasy baseball realm and the Don’t Eat The Cheese series will return to cover MLB.
For now, I don’t have anything against ESPN’s fantasy baseball department. Time will tell if that changes. In the meantime, I’m just going to give you busts. Any player that’s ranked too high inside the top 50, we’re going to expose them together.
*Link to ESPN rankings. They constantly change so don’t shoot the messenger if they’re updated after publication.
Just one name. For some reason, most of the closers aren’t ranked high even though they win you leagues. I’d just be skeptical going this high for Diaz. Not after missing all of last year. He also had one of the best years ever by a closer in 2022. He’s been doing this every-other-year thing for a while too. On a Mets team that’s in a transition year, I’d hold off at this price.
*Honorable mention: Don’t ask me why ESPN has Nick Pivetta as the Red Sox closer. Kenley Jansen is ranked 28th and 15 spots lower on the reliever list. Maybe I need to pick a fight with ESPN after all?
