Dolphins QB Ryan Tannehill Won’t Need ACL Surgery

Miami Dolphins quarterback Ryan Tannehill suffered a partially torn ACL and MCL late in the 2016 regular season. Apparently, his rehab has been going so well that he won’t need to undergo surgery. NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport confirmed the news.

His MCL was also damaged which has also been causing him trouble during the rehab process. The infamous Dr. James Andrews has been working with Tannehill during the recovery process. The good news for Miami Dolphins fans is that Tannehill will be ready for the 2017 season. With the head coach of the year candidate Adam Gase at the helm for a 2nd full season, Dolphins fans should be optimistic about the future.

Only fans will wonder if Ryan Tannehill could have beaten the Steelers in the first round of the playoffs if he was healthy. Backup Matt Moore did an admirable job in his place finishing the regular season 2-1 leading the Phins to a playoff birth.
