Does Payton Pritchard Have The Eye Of The Tiger?

Heading into the 2023-24 NBA Season, there is a ton of pressure on Payton Pritchard. Given all of the turnover this offseason, Pritchard will have more opportunities to play this year. Pritchard is also heading into the final year of his rookie contract and will look to cash in next offseason. One teammate says he has the Eye of the Tiger.

Sam Hauser thinks that Pritchard is going to have a monster season.

“I think Payton’s had a great camp. He’s really, really been aggressive. He worked really hard this summer, and I think he’s out for blood this year, so I’m really excited to see what he has to bring to the table this year,” Hauser said, per CLNS Media’s X account.

Hauser is not the only bench player echoing those words either. Svi Mykhailiuk reiterated those sentiments.

“As of now, for me, I feel like Payton was really, really good in all of the games, but I would say everybody’s just coming in, working hard, showing their work ethic, and just being here really early to show how important it is to everybody,” Mykhailiuk said on October 3, per CLNS Media Boston Sports Network.

Payton Pritchard Was Rooting For The Celtics To Trade Him

Pritchard, 25, is expected to be the third guard in the rotation behind Derrick White and Jrue Holiday. The former Oregon product also dropped 61 in a recent Pro-Am game. Pritchard showed a ton of flashes early in his career. Boston may want to think about extending Pritchard before it’s too late. If the hype is real, the Celtics might have a real spark plug coming off the bench for them this year.
