Rico Bosco is officially back at Barstool after spurning Audacy in the process. Is it really going to be sunshine and rainbows when Rico returns? It sure as hell doesn’t appear that way.
Kirk Minihane was the first to speak out against the decision to bring Rico back. He even went as far as to compare Rico to a sick priest. Not exactly a ringing endorsement.
Brandon Walker also had some words to say.
Walker didn’t give a big hateful speech but KFC who’s been in the building since the OG days was a little more firm in his statement. He has no tolerance for people attacking with burner accounts. Especially when it comes to attacking family members. Both John Feitelberg and KFC are out on the call to bring Rico back.
The mutiny has gone so far that Dave Portnoy himself put out a tweet knowing that he’s going to have to address the group as a whole. It’s going to be something to see what goes down in that meeting.
Was bringing Rico back the wrong call? It’s hard to say given the numbers that both Pick Em shows have gotten because of the controversy. The return episode already has 214 thousand viewers on a video that’s 11 hours old. The Rico crazy brings eyeballs because none of it’s a bit.
The real question here will be if Rico can avoid another catastrophe in terms of attacking someone. He’s gotta be on thin ice at this point. If another High Noon can gets chucked at another employee, it could be lights out for good. When it comes to the ticking time bomb of Rico, you certainly can’t count that possibility out.
