Jeff Nadu found his way back to the doghouse at Barstool Sports. Molly Meatball, a female UFC fighter sponsored by Barstool, lost via first round submission this past weekend at UFC 281. Nadu bet against Molly and Dave Portnoy was not happy about it.
The conversation starts at the UFC section which begins roughly at the 18 minute mark.
It wasn’t the fact that Nadu bet against Molly that has everyone up in arms. It was the fact that Nadu showed off his betting slip on Twitter five seconds after she lost to gloat. According to Portnoy and Big Cat, it would have been a different story if Nadu had crafted a tweet prior to the fight suggesting that he was rooting for Molly but the sharp betting play was on her opponent, Erin Blanchfield.
That right there is the crux of the argument. Since UFC 281, Portnoy has gone full scale attack on Nadu. Even to the point where he is now back to being a Ryder.
The next Barstool employee scheduled to fight is Paddy Pimblett at UFC 282 on December 10th. Pimblett will square off against Jared Gordon at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. It would be next level funny if another Barstool employee pulled this same act when Paddy faces off. Paddy is about a -190 favorite for that fight as of right now.
It’s just another chapter in the Nadu vs. Rico rivalry. Speaking of Rico, he’s got a contract coming up.
