Darius Robinson 2024 NFL Draft Profile

Missouri won 11 games last year and it’s not hard to figure out why when you take a look at all of the players they’re sending to the 2024 NFL Draft. Darius Robinson figures to be the highest player in that group. Let’s not waste any time and jump right into his 2024 NFL Draft Profile.

Swiss army knife. Let’s start there. More than anything, Robinson is going to be a chess piece. Let’s just hope for his sake teams become creative with his utilization. That was on full display at the Senior Bowl. Dominated inside and outside. Feels like the type of guy who can play on the edge in run situations and then becomes a wrecking ball in the middle on passing downs. Was a huge winner in that regard during the Senior Bowl causing havoc wherever he lined up.

None of these guys are finished products. That’s especially the case with Robinson. The former Missouri product was a three star guy from the state of Michigan but started playing football really late in his life. We’re talking about a guy who didn’t start playing football until his junior year of high school. The fact that recruiters even found this guy so late only speaks to the natural raw talent he has.

What’s odd is that he’s more of a football player than a greased up athlete. Robinson checks in at 6-foot-5, 285, and didn’t post super impressive measurables at the Combine. Robinson ran a 4.95, which is a tad underwhelming. Didn’t have great leaping numbers either. 21 reps on the bench is cool but not anything crazy.

Despite that, I like Robinson’s chances to make it. He hasn’t tapped the surface for what he can become. Nobody can starting football that late. The upside is tantalizing. What makes Robinson so good, or what did in college, is his ability to use his upper body strength. Maybe isn’t going to pull out a crazy spin move out of nowhere but his hand work is excellent. Robinson has nearly 35 inch arms and he’s fantastic in terms of hand fighting. Right now his pass rushing moves are a tad predictable. What happens with more training and teaching? The guy is a load at first contact. Wins the point of attack more often than not.

2023 was Robinson’s best season. The Mizzou team captain was named to the First-team All-SEC to go along with 8.5 sacks and 14 TFLs.

I have a second round grade on Darius Robinson. A bit raw but don’t think it’s super different from what happened with Keion White last year. Similar body styles too. White turned into a good player with the Patriots as a rookie. I expect something similar with Robinson. More room to grow and already a weapon as a chess piece. Should eventually turn into a plus starter.
