UFC CEO Dana White has announced multiple fights that will take place at UFC 314. The main event will feature a featherweight title fight between Alexander Volkanovski and Diego Lopes. The co-main event will be a five-round lightweight clash between Michael Chandler and Paddy Pimblett.
White made all the highest profile announcements of the bunch on Instagram Live.
UFC 314 Current Fight Card:
The massive moving piece involved with UFC 314 is that Ilia Topuria will vacate the UFC featherweight title to move up to lightweight. That provides Volkanovski and Lopes the opportunity to fight for the undisputed title.
White’s UFC 314 announcement featured a few shockers outside of the main and co-main event as well. The biggest news is that the UFC signed former Bellator double-champion Patricio Pitbull. At UFC 314, the debutant will take on highly-ranked fan-favorite Yair Rodriguez. A win will get him close to a title fight.
UFC 314 will also feature a ranked welterweight bout between Geoff Neal and Carlos Prates. Prates is 4-0 in the UFC and has established himself as one of the most interesting prospects in the UFC. That status will be tested as he takes on Neal. The veteran has established himself as a difficult gatekeeper for the welterweight top-ten.
UFC 314 will go down in Miami, Florida, on April 12, 2025. The current fight card is not complete and the bout order is not finalized.
