Dan Jackson is next up on the 2025 NFL Draft profile mixer. We’re almost done with these, so if you don’t mind, I’m just going to get to the point now so I can wrap up publishing these grades!

Jackson, 24, was a zero star recruit coming out of high school. Jackson walked his way onto the Georgia football team and actually carved out a real role for himself. 2019 and 2020, Jackson was mostly a scout team player. In 2021, 2022, and 2023, he was a reserve and played a key role as a backup + special teams duties. In 2024, Jackson became the full time starter and made All-SEC Third Team selection. That includes being third on the team in tackles and registering a forced fumble, two picks, plus three PBUs.

No Combine invite, which is an absolute travesty that you wouldn’t invite the starting safety at Georgia, who has real production. Totally idiotic, but you can’t hold that against the player. The positive news is that Jackson more than held his own at the Senior Bowl. Probably the only guy who won reps against Jack Bech all week. Very nice showing there, and was voted the MVP of his position group by his peers during the week of practice. Again, why that guy didn’t get a Combine invite is comical, but whatever.

The man known as Dirty Dan, plays exactly how he sounds. Just a grinder. Dude knows how to tackle and makes plays on the ball. Plays with an edge and lowkey saved Georgia’s season when he blasted Haynes King to help force the game into 800 overtimes.

He’s more of a tackling in the box safety, but more than holds his own in coverage. This past year, Jackson registered a 56.3 passer rating against and allowed zero touchdowns. Again, that’s while playing in the SEC. This dude can absolutely play.
