Under Maintenance
We deeply apologize for interrupting your reading but Vendetta is currently undergoing some important maintenance! You may experience some layout shifts, slow loading times and dififculties in navigating.
When people tell you who they are, believe them. Children are running the show in Boston, and it should have been obvious BEFORE the Rafael Devers trade. Craig Breslow is a lot of things (insert insult of your choice here), but there’s no question he’s absolutely a liar.
Either way, or has zero forward-thinking ability.
There’s no room for interpretation here. Breslow totally contradicted himself on the club’s plans for the young core.
Last month, Breslow talked about how he doesn’t want to put too much pressure on guys like Roman Anthony, Marcelo Mayer, and Kristian Campbell.
“We’re mindful of putting too much pressure on any individual, or in this case, two or three individuals,” Breslow said. “But also, we need to make sure we’re mindful of the runway and playing time and the likelihood that talented young players can come up and, as they acclimate to the big leagues, struggle at times. All of those are factors.”
Soooooo taking Devers on the roster doesn’t put more pressure on the young guys to perform?
We do get how that premise doesn’t make a lick of sense, right?
There is no defending this situation. Devers deserves zero blame for the way things went, especially after he gave them a long-term solution, and all the team did was show how ignorant they really are.
Breslow doesn’t have a clue, and it couldn’t be more obvious. He’s not just clueless, he’s also a liar without maybe even trying to be.
