Rolando McClain bites the dust again……
Dallas Cowboys linebacker Rolando McClain has been suspended by the NFL for violating the league’s substance abuse policy. ESPN’s Todd Archer and Adam Schefter broke the story.
McClain was suspended for the same violation a year ago. This time the sentence is a bit steep as the penalty was a 4 game suspension the year prior. The next violation will cause McClain to be suspended for the entire season.
In 11 starts during the 2015 campaign McClain recorded 80 tackles to go along with an interception. When McClain is on the field he has proven to be a very productive player.
The challenge now will be who will take his place. Sean Lee is locked in at the inside linebacker spot with Anthony Hitchens locked in at outside linebacker. The final spot will become a battle between Kyle Wilber and Anthony Gatchkar. Jaylon Smith would have been a likely starter but he is likely out for the 2016 season.
