Chuck Pagano Comes Out Of Retirement To Rejoin Ravens Coaching Staff

Chuck Pango has been a stable on the Pat McAfee show for the last few years. Passing out cupcakes and fake clapping over fake nonsense must have gotten old in a hurry. Pagano, the former Ravens defensive coordinator, is rejoining the coaching staff to help out in the secondary.

NFL Network reporter Tom Pelissero was the first to report the news:

“It’s always been in the back of my mind,” Pagano said. “It just had to be the perfect situation. Obviously, I’m very, very familiar with that organization. That had a ton to do with it. … I know the people in that organization from the top down. It’s the gold standard.”

“The role is absolutely perfect,” Pagano said. “There’s been coordinator after coordinator after coordinator, but the nuts and bolts of that of that scheme have not changed. So it’s an opportunity for me to go in and [say], ‘Hey, what do you what do you need me to do? How can I how can I help you guys develop these players?’ They’ve got phenomenal players back there.”

Give John Harbaugh credit because he’s built a hell of a staff. Zach Orr might be a young coordinator but he’s now surrounded him with Dean Peas and Chuck Pagano. Two vets who will provide invaluable insight. It’s safe to say Harbaugh is pumped to have Pagano back in the building.

“It is exciting to add Coach Chuck Pagano to our defensive staff and continue to develop and grow our young and talented secondary,” Harbaugh said in a statement released through the team. “Chuck brings a wealth of knowledge, experience and coaching talent to our team. He has deep ties to the program and is excited to get to work.”
