Chad Johnson is trying to set Shannon Sharpe up with Kim Kardashian

Well, this certainly wasn’t the type of news I expected to see when I woke up this morning. The emergence of “power couples” has taken the NFL by storm with Travis Kelce‘s relationship with Taylor Swift. It’s being blown way out of proportion and, frankly, I’m already sick of it, which is why I’m really hoping this doesn’t happen and break the internet. This is a relationship between Shannon Sharpe and Kim Kardashian.

“You ain’t got no old lady, right? And I told you I was searching, I’ve been looking,” former NFL receiver Chad Johnson recently said. “I’ve been talking to some people, I saw Kim K, she said like, ‘Oh, I’m looking for an older man after my separation from Pete Davidson.”

You may think it’s a joke, but on their most recent episode of “Nightcap with Unc & Ocho,” Johnson gave Sharpe the hard sell on a relationship with Kim Kardashian.

Sharpe initially rejected the idea but that didn’t stop Johnson from continuing to give the sell. He mentions that they both are focused on their careers and wouldn’t let a relationship with each other get in the way of that.

The Kelce-Swift relationship was also a big selling point for Johnson.

“Before I make this call, think about what happened with Travis Kelce. Understand, Taylor Swift came into his life and everything exponentially shot up,” Johnson said. “Think about what Kim and that entity itself can do for Club Shay Shay? Let me know before I make the call.”

Johnson continued by talking about how much of a power couple they would be with the amount of influence Kris Jenner has. Overall it actually wasn’t a bad pitch from Johnson but one I still don’t think was good enough to convince Sharpe.

He explained his worries about ending up the subject of a Kanye West diss track. But Kayne is remarried. So Johnson explained that it wouldn’t be an issue. Sharpe also expressed his desire to live a private life.

Johnson immediately called Sharpe out referencing the recent rumors of Sharpe going on a date with Selena Gomez. But on the other hand, he did acknowledge how good the relationship could be for his following and his shows as a whole.

The Kardashian family hides nothing and everything is out in the open, which likely would be the case with this relationship, making it even less likely that Shapre decides to settle down with Kim. One man’s dream is another man’s nightmare. I think that quote applies perfectly to Sharpe and this situation as a whole.

Many would kill to just be in the same room as Kim K. But Unc seems 100 percent set on the fact that he doesn’t even want to give it a try. He’s a good-looking guy in great shape, so I’m sure Kim would be willing to take the chance.

Also with his recent views about gassy women, and Kim’s inability to eat Mexican food without “farting up a storm,” as she so eloquently put it. It seems like another roadblock in the possibility of this relationship.

For now, it seems like Sharpe will remain a single man, but that doesn’t seem to be something bothering him. I’m sure Johnson will continue to try playing the role of wingman, but it seems like old Unc isn’t giving him a lot to work with.

In all though, I think Sharpe is making the right decision. Don’t fall into a relationship just for the clout. May be fun at first but soon you’ll just find yourself wanting more wondering why you sold out on love for more fame.
